Phases of Life, 2018: poem

I learned that everything is temporary,
Nothing bad lasts,
Nothing good lasts,
Yesterday’s sadness does not last,
Today’s happiness may pass,
So what are we?
How do I feel?
Questions arise,
Is there a beginning?
Is there an end?
As time passes,
Whispers emerge,
Will I learn about life?

Well, last year has passed,
And it’s a new year,
Old questions entangled with the new,
Same theme,
Confusion persists.
